20 Weeks

20 weeks! Well, actually 21 now, but lets pretend I keep up better than that. Officially half way there...unofficially more than half way there for a twin pregnancy! I can't believe how fast it has gone!  We had a sonogram on April 27th. Everything looked great! Baby A's heart rate was 143 and Baby B's heart rate was 151. They each weighed 15 ounces. Really, they aren't even a pound yet?! God is amazing. All bladders, kidneys, ventricles, arms, legs, brain parts and boy parts were present and accounted for! We go back in four more weeks.

In nursery news, I still haven't got the bedroom set cleared out...there's always tomorrow, right? I am so mad at myself, but have had a crazy couple weeks, and the last thing on the list was cleaning something else out!
My parents will be here on Friday! I can't wait to see them and hang out some! We will be re-doing the insulation in the attic. I am so glad...our upstairs is still pretty toasty. I am really hoping this makes a huge difference.
My baby shower is on Sunday!! Count down to twin stuff has begun. I have never been to a twin shower, so I am pretty pumped. I can't wait to see all the fun things the babies get.
Speaking of showers, everybody is pregnant! We are throwing baby showers left and right in our church. I can't wait to meet all the upcoming arrivals!
Speaking of arrivals, our good friends Aaron and Angela received the blessing of a baby boy (Josiah Wade) through adoption on Thursday the 26th! We are SO excited for them! They have been "pregnant" longer than most, and I know that they are going to make amazing parents. I get the privilege of taking some newborn photos of him tomorrow! I love newborns. They are so soft and cuddly and usually sleep all the time...so they make fun photo clients! I have an antique suitcase that will be used as a prop. I am excited to see the finished product.
Natalee starts "school" tomorrow! Jeremy works out at Boys Ranch, and they have a child care facility. It's pretty cheap for employee children, and that is all who can attend out there. Her class has 4 kiddos in it. I think she is going to have so much fun. She is only going to go once a week. I am looking forward to a day to myself...where running errands will be so much easier, especially with this big belly I am getting. I also know if it will be fun and good for her to make a few friends and learn some new things. She is really happy about going to work with daddy. He can eat lunch with her, which I think will be a fun thing for them to get to do. I know once these boys arrive, a day with just them will also be much appreciated. Although I know all of these good things, I am still a little sad to see my baby leaving. Keep me in your prayers!
It's about to get crazy(er) in the Glover household!! Stay tuned for first day of school pictures, baby shower pictures, and hopefully some nursery pictures here pretty quick!

So PINteresting

I have a friend who blogs every once in a while about her new favs she found on pinterest. Personally, any excuse to get on pinterest sounds like a great idea to me. I could spend days minutes on that site at a time. So, here are a few of the things that I found so PINteresting this week!

Block of ice with little treasures frozen on the inside and a little hammer. Although I don't feel like Natalee can yet use a hammer, without the fear of a broken finger, tooth, or window...I think this is such a fun idea! You can read about it yourself at:
http://countingcoconuts.blogspot.com/search/label/Sensory%20Tubs.

Stop and stare at this picture with the respect it deserves. This makes my heart so happy. There is nothing more annoying than crawling into that space (that you don't fit in anyway), trying to unplug something (obviously every plug is filled), and you unplug every one except the one you need. This will be on my not-so-fire-friendly-overloaded-computer-strips pronto! Thank you Jesus for this, it is just what I needed to see. You can read more about it yourself at:
http://www.unplggd.com/unplggd/organizing/label-cords-at-both-ends-for-maximum-organization-145848?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+apartmenttherapy%2Funplggd+%28Unplggd%29

Shut your face! This type of picture will definitely be hanging in our twin boys room. I love how they are smashed together...not that they haven't been smashed together for 9 months or so. I seriously love taking photos, so I am sure many pictures like this will appear on my blog in about 4ish months or so (really, that's all the time I have left?!). You can read more about it yourself at:
http://kristencook.com.au/blog/category/newborn_photography_melbourne/

Want it. Need it. Must make it now. Natalee is getting a kitchen (you know, the kind where you take an entertainment center and turn it into a kitchen, found on pinterest?!) for Christmas this year. Yes, I just said it...Christmas. We start buying Christmas gifts in the summer. Judge me how you want, but it works for us and our poorness budget. With Natalee's birthday being on the 29th of December and the addition of two sweet boys, it is our only hope at everyone getting a gift! Anyway, back to the point. I have a ton of pot holders, all hand made, by such sweet and special ladies. I stinkin' LOVE using them, but I do have like a million and one of them, so I think I can sacrifice a few to make Natalee this little rug for in front of her kitchen set! You can read more about it yourself at:
http://blog.craftzine.com/archive/2011/08/how_to_potholder_rug.html

It would not be a pinterest post, if I didn't include a delicious looking recipe. Feast your eyes on these little biscuits of love, as I am calling them. They are stuffed with hash browns, bacon, scrambled eggs and cheese. Eat your heart out McDonalds! These look amazing. I love breakfast food, at any time of the day. I see these in my very near future, with a big glass of OJ. You can read more about it yourself at:

So, ignore the very sexual aspect of this photo, and move straight along to the link! There are tons of great date night ideas. By the look of the picture, you are obviously married to this person, but it is still just as important to date. Jeremy and I have been together for seven years now, and although we don't get to go on dates as often as we used to, we still do, and that is what matters. Sometimes I get bored of the same ol' thing. This blog has lots of creative ideas to get your date night juices flowing! You can read more about it yourself at:
http://www.redbookmag.com/love-sex/advice/100-date-ideas

Why didn't I think about this? Natalee loves to draw and color, so we always have crayons in the backpack, but those silly cardboard boxes last about half a minute. We always put them in a zip lock bag, and pray that they are not all broken by the time we need to use them. With the wipes case, it is skinny and it won't take up much space. I have about a hundred of these things just laying around, waiting for me to do something amazing with. This is pretty self-explanatory, and didn't come with a link for more info! :)

I wish this picture was taken inside of my own home, but that is not the case. This is an awesome family tree. What a great way to display your families pictures from past to present. I am pretty sure my great great great grandmother would be slapping me in the face right now for not already having this pretty little arrangement in my house. For her, and all the other greats, I would like to dedicate this pin. If I had room, I would do it somewhere amazing...and if I could paint worth a flip. You can read more about it yourself at:
 http://www.freshpaintartist.com/

So, there you have it. These ideas are so PINteresting to me this week. I just love pinterest, and if you have yet to jump in and make yourself an account, you are really missing out!
Happy Pinning!

Pregnancy in Pictures

Half way there! Technically, probably a little more than half! What a journey we have already been on! I really wanted to do this blog because I just found the coolest editing program. It takes your photos and makes them awesome. PicMonkey is the site in case you are interested. The 20 week photo is not my official photo, but will work for the time being! :) Hope you enjoyed my half way to babies slide show!

Picnic

Today Natalee asked me if we could have a picnic. It is a little windy out, but why not? Here are some pictures from our fun lunch.

That's all for now! We love having picnics outside, and I only see this happening more as the summer approaches us!

20 Weeks

So, we actually haven't started on the nursery at ALL yet. Isn't that the reason people find out what they are having?! It's been a slow going process, but I think we are now at the point where starting is right around the corner! I am so excited to get started on the boys room. I am a little nervous as to where two cribs will fit and trying to find a recliner that doesn't take up half a wall (seriously, why are the all so big?!). This room is currently the guest bedroom, so that has been the first hitch in our giddy up....the bedroom set. Well, I got it sold, now I just need to get it cleaned out and ready for pick up. I swear I am doing this today during nap time. After we get the bedroom set out of the way, and I get in there and deep clean like Queen Elizabeth will be arriving, we are going to texture it...and by "we" I mean "Jeremy." He helped get me into this mess, so I think it's only fair! LOL To be honest, he's textured almost every room in our house, and I just love how it turns out, so I know he will do a great job. I cannot wait to see that room re-textured. It is so ugly right now. It's the only room in this house that I haven't touched with a paint brush. It's this peachy cream color, that has made do for four years now, so obviously I didn't hate it that much. I am hoping some form of progress begins in the next two weeks.
Baby Shower!! Yes, the baby shower is right around the corner too! I am super pumped! I can't wait to see what all the boys get, especially since we have nothing "boy" and that we are having two! The shower is on May 6th. I am currently working on their pirate scrapbook. I made a pregnancy scrapbook for Natalee where I journaled and posted pictures of the belly every two weeks. I am excited that I have done this for them too. In case you haven't figured it out, the nursery will be done in pirates! I can't wait to bring home our little "treasures." Another plus to having a baby shower, is that I will get a little pampering done for myself! YAY for haircuts and maybe even a pedicure and of course a new outfit for the occasion! I haven't bought any new maternity clothes thus far, so I am thinking now is the time to splurge a little. The shower invitations are the cutest things I have ever laid my eyes on! It reads,
"Yo ho Yo ho, we're full of joy!
The Glovers are expecting
twin baby boys!
Please join us for a shower honoring
Krystole Glover
Sunday, May 6th, 2-3:30 pm
Treasure Sites at: Target Walmart, Babies "Aarrgh" us."
Seriously, shut up...that's adorable.

As far as 20 weeks go, I am still feeling pretty good. I have been super tired, but I am sure this is only the beginning of that! My back is achy quite a bit too, but I think that may be due to not getting enough exercise. It feels so much more arched already than I ever remember it feeling with Natalee. The belly is definitely growing. I am feeling them both kick and move now. Jeremy felt one of them move for the first time on April 16th and we both saw a physical kick on April 18th. It is so weird to feel so many arms and legs floating around in there! I still need to take my 20 week picture, tisk tisk, but I will do it, and I will upload it when I do! Our next appointment is this Friday the 27th! We have a two hour sonogram slot and a doctor appointment to follow! I can't wait to see our little guys and get more pictures! God is so amazing and we are feeling 'doubly' blessed at this time in our lives.

Seven

Today marks seven years (dating) with my wonderful husband! I can not believe it has been that long! I know that people blog all kinds of mushy crap all the time, so if that's not your thing, just skip right along. I love the chance to brag and rave about my husband.
Jeremy and I met at church on a pot luck dinner day in January of 2005. It was my first time to attend this church, but I knew people that attended there, so that was awesome. They asked me to stay for the pot luck dinner, and frankly, being a college student at the time, I don't think I would have ever said "no" to a home made meal. I got in line. In a few moments, I see a guy, who was further up the line, come back to where I was. He introduced himself and said he was one of the leaders of the college group at the church. He was really nice and sounded so smart. Although I couldn't remember his name, it was nice to have someone to talk too. After church, my mom called me to ask how it went. I said it went good, and that I met a nice guy from the college group. Immediately she says, "Was he cute?" I just responded, "So not my type," to which her response was, "How do you even know what your type is?" Score for the ol' mom. By March, we had become pretty close friends. The college group was very small, like 10-12 of us, so we would do lots of activities together. Our favorite hang out was hastings. We would spend hours there as a group, over coffee, just hanging out and talking. Somewhere in the midst of all those hang outs, I started to have feelings for him. I didn't really even realize this until I felt jealous when I saw another girl (who was very open about her feelings for him) talking to him. My first thought was, "I wonder what they are talking about?" My next thought was, "Wait, why do I care?" It was then that I knew he just may be my type.
I will never forget the day he asked me to be his girlfriend. We had gone to eat and had rented some movies, but there was no talk of it being a "date" of any sort...although, he did pay for my food. I remember him getting up to use the restroom, and I called my mom...telling her I really did like him and that he prayed before our meal. You don't understand. When he prayed at Joe's Pizza and Pasta, I literally got butterflies in my tummy. I was head over heels. I had never hung out, much less dated a guy who prayed. It was awesome. I basically hung up on my mom when he was walking back to our table, and was trying to play it all off really cool. We went back to my apartment, and watched a couple of movies, and then we ended up just sitting in front of his apartment talking in my car. It was general get to know you questions, and then we started talking about dating questions. At the end of our conversation, it got quiet. Jeremy cleared his throat and said, "I think I may be interested in dating you." In my head, I was jumping up and down screaming "YES!" Before I could say anything he said, "I'd like for us to each go home and pray about it, and if we feel the same way, we can make it official."
Needless to say, we made it official. Our relationship has been amazing. We really do compliment each other so well, and I do believe God sent Him straight to me. He has been the biggest blessing of my life. I can't imagine life without him. I really do love him with all of my heart. I could keep typing right now, but I think you all get the point. April 16, 2005 will always be special in my heart. I am so excited to see where the next seven years brings us.

He is Risen!

Making Cupcakes!
We started our Easter celebration, by making a batch of Easter cupcakes! I was really excited that Natalee could still wear the shirt I made her last year. She picked out the cake batter, so of course it was pink. She loves to help in the kitchen, especially when her Grammie is involved.
Official Cake Tester!
Of course when we were done stirring, she got to lick the spoon.
She said she "loved pink cake!"

Mommy and Natalee in the Kitchen!
She got to help me put the batter in the cupcake wrappers. She thought she was pretty big stuff! Frankly, I did too! I can't believe she is old enough to help as much as she does! I love this little girl, and all the memories that we are making.

Yummy!
The finished product. I don't think we will be on Cake Boss any time soon,
but they sure were tasty! :)

First time to draw on her own egg!
We then started to dye our Easter eggs. We've always colored on them in crayon, and them dipped them in the dye. You have to write your name on the egg...and we always make one for our special loved ones that have passed on. I love this tradition.
Our family dying eggs!
Here we all are dying our Easter eggs. She had so much fun this year. She was very independent (of course) and wanted to dip and stir the egg by herself, which I mainly let her do. I forgot to get a picture of all of our eggs completed. There's just something about Easter-dyed eggs that make for the best deviled eggs around the next day!

Miss America, watch out!
Here is Natalee with the two eggs that she colored with crayons, picked the dye color, and helped dye the eggs. She was very proud and excited. Of course she wouldn't stand still for the picture...but I think this pose is a winner.

Fancy Nancy
Easter morning, she was so excited! She woke up around 7:30 and whispered, "The Easter bunny came and filled up my basket," and then yelled, "It's EASTER time!" She literally RAN out while squealing something fierce and was so excited to see her basket full of goodies. Some of her favorite things were the Fancy Nancy Easter book I found, a Bible story book, and a "fancy hat" as she called it. I don't know why I even bothered to buy her anything for Easter, because Grammie Easter bunny also came...
Spoiled Rotten!
Natalee is so very loved by that Easter bunny. Don't worry Grammie bunny...next year, when we have three kiddos at Easter, I am sure I will leave the Easter shopping up to you! :) LOL

Love the early morning sleepy shots!
Getting the hang of it...
So proud to have found this one!
She loved hunting her 8 little ladybug eggs (each filled with one jellybean!) and I also got the Resurrection eggs that I blogged about done, which she also loved! She was so excited when she would find another egg. It is fun watching her be "proud" of herself. She was also very pumped when she realized that there were jellybeans in them!
I see you egg...
Easter Breakfast at the Church.

Jeremy, Natalee and myself!
Easter 2012
We then went to church, the real reason we celebrate Easter. Our church always does a big Easter breakfast, and an Easter egg hunt. Here is our sweet girl enjoying some bacon, blueberry pancakes and eggs. She loves to eat, takes after her mommy! Even though she was mixed in with a lot of older kiddos on the egg hunt, she did quite well. Next year, she will be all over the place I am sure! I loved her dress this year, even though I didn't know if I liked it at all at first. She looked just like an Easter Angel...of course I may be biased, but I don't care. :) After one of the prayers in church, she said, "Amen," really loud and Texan like. Everyone laughed at her and thought she was the cutest thing. She also told the Easter story in her own words: "Jesus died on the cross (toss), that made Mary sad, Jesus is Alive, Jesus went to Heaven, now Mary is happy!" I think that is a pretty darn good start! I love seeing her grow with God, it makes my heart so happy.

Get in my belly!!
After church, we came home and ate Easter lunch, yes you should be jealous. It was so good. One of the best things about being pregnant during any holiday is the amount you can get away with eating! Now, put that on top of twin boys...this momma got her fill! I think I looked a little more pregnant for the next three days!

She loves her Grammie!
Grumps, Grams, Natalee and Pa!
Us.
Natalee and her baby brothers on Easter.
Hunting eggs, again.
I found one!
Sweet girl.
Love this one, even though she is staring off into the deep blue sea,
she was really watching the dog.
Trying to get a smile...
She loved her "fancy Nancy" hat.
Of course I had to take her for her own little photo shoot too. What's Easter without a million pictures in your fancy new dress? She has me wrapped around her little finger, actually rephrase...she has everyone wrapped around her little finger! She is so loved, and I just can't imagine my life without her!

They look just alike her.
Feeding the Easter bunny.
So many bunnies, so little carrots.
The day after Easter, we had the privilege of feeding the Easter bunny! Natalee was so excited, and not scared of them at all. She didn't like all of the flies that were by the bunnies though, and told us that about a million times (I really don't think I am exaggerating on that!).
We also flew a kite, which I did not get a picture of! I think my mom did, so I will have to harass her to send one to me. It was her first time to fly a kite, and she did it like a champ. Seriously, you'd think she would have been flying kites for at least two years now!

Ready, Set, Go!
Such a big girl!
After flying a kite, we took a stroll to the park. She had a lot of fun, but really only wanted to swing. This was her first time to sit and swing in a big girl swing! She was pretty upset when we had to leave. She wanted to be "pushed higher" and daddy was ok with that, which made this mommy nervous. She did great though, never falling off. I made her little outfit, my first time to make capris! I love how it turned out. She loves her "toss" (cross) shirt, and will usually retell the Easter story when she realizes she is wearing it.

Over all, we had a great Easter weekend. It was filled with family, food, and fun. I have always loved our Easter tradition, and look forward to seeing how it will look next year with a three year old and two 8-9 month old boys!
