Clayton Lake

As some of you may have read in another post, we bought a pop up camper! It's a 1988 model, yes, we are cool like that. We are in the process of re-doing the inside to update it. We are in LOVE and can't wait to take it on vacation next year! Here is what we have gotten done thus far!
The curtains are getting a much more updated look! I have only gotten one done so far, only NINE more to go! Oh boy...but man, they look cute!
The 1980's country blue striped cushion got a new cover! My favorite color is green and the bedding I bought for the camper has this same color in some of the print!
A little before and after of the cabinets. Nothing says new and updated like fresh and clean white. It really brightens the camper up a lot! I also spray painted the brass knobs to a nice chocolate brown, but forgot to take a picture of that part. :)
A before and after of the cushion. Yay for new! It's amazing what a $7 tablecloth can do! I love buying shower curtains and tablecloths as fabrics for large projects. SO much cheaper! This was my first time to sew a bench seat. I am very proud of the finished project. :)
Another shot of all the cabinets and dresser drawers being painted.

Even though our camper isn't completely updated and ready to go just yet, we wanted to take it out one time before it got too cold. We went with my parents to Clayton Lake in New Mexico. As a kid, we would go to Clayton Lake all the time. We loved it there. The lake is so low now, but it is still one of my favorite little spots. We had a great time. Natalee was SUPER excited to sleep in her "new tamper, with her baby brudders." Quite frankly, mommy and daddy were just as excited! My parents have a fifth wheel, so we knew this would be the perfect opportunity to take our camper out, and have a back up just in case something went wrong. We are glad they were there. The heater would not work. We couldn't get the pilot light to light, and then when it finally did, it wasn't tall enough to reach the gas (or something like that). The man we bought it from also failed to mention that there was no hot water heater, so we had no hot water either. A trip to town and one electric heater later, we were able to sleep in our own camper and stay nice and toasty. My dad said that a new water heater shouldn't be much money, so we are still very happy about our purchase. We really enjoyed the weekend, and didn't want to go home.
Daddy and Natalee (with her princess crown on backwards) flying kites.
Barrett decided he wanted in on the kite flying.

Our family. I know that I look horrid amazing, don't be jealous. ;)
My sweet duck babies on their first camping trip and first out of state trip....almost 3 months old.
Fishing with Grams and Grumps.
Big smiles for camping cupcakes!
Daddy and Natalee on one of our hikes.
We took Natalee to see the dinosaur tracks. She wasn't impressed, and wanted to know where the "real dinosaurs" were. LOL
Natalee and Grumps. I am pretty sure there is this exact picture somewhere of my daddy and I. :)
Smore Smiles...who wouldn't smile...I said SMORES!
Roasting our marshmellows...and jumbo kind!

We love camping. We love the outdoors. We love our God who created it all. We can't wait to go on more trips. Happy campers, all around!

Maxwells Pumpkin Farm

We went to the Pumpkin Patch today! This is our second time to go out to Maxwells, and we really enjoy it. It was more fun this year because Natalee was able to "do" stuff. The last time we were out, it was for a birthday party and Natalee was only 10 months old, although it made for a perfect photo shoot!
Be still my beating heart.
What's a pumpkin?
I made this outfit...it was my first ever!
Can I eat this?
How is it that my baby girl still isn't this big? I love her...like bad. Anyway, our church planned a day to go to the pumpkin patch this year. We weren't sure how it would work with the boys, but we didn't let that stop us! They did great...minus a few pictures, they stayed in the stroller the whole time...with no crying! Sweet little pumpkins. Here are some of my favorite pictures from this years pumpkin patch visit. I can't wait to go again next year!
I love this little girl.
Love her crooked little ornery smile.
This makes me laugh so hard.
Cutest pumpkins in the patch.
Mommy and her lil' pumpkins!
Candy Corn Cuties....I made their matching shirts. :)
The Glover's. Dontcha just love the boys' candy corn hats?!
Fake smile...real pumpkins.
She was so excited!!
The winner!
I love fall. Maxwells makes me happy.

October

October?! Really?! Man, this year is flying by, which I know I say every year! I LOVE fall. I wish the fall season lasted longer here. It seems like it is summer FOREVER and then fall for a couple weeks and then winter FOREVER. I love pumpkins, the fall colors, crock pot meals, football games, crisp air, and changing leaves. It is my favorite time of the year. I just wanted to share a few fall pictures that have already been taken! We will be going to the pumpkin patch in a few weeks, so be prepared for the ridiculous amount of pictures to come!
My brother and his girlfriend. Aren't the adorable?
Date Night (no children) to see the play "Les Miserables"

The Legacy Continues...

I grew up with a family who loved the outdoors. My dad always had the best lawn and an even better garden. My brother and I played on bikes, roller bladed and jumped on the trampoline for hours on end. We built forts and had great adventures. The sprinkler and water guns were considered the best of days. As we grew, camping became one of my families favorite things to do. Every year we would go on two week vacationsto a new state and stay in a pop-up camper. When we first started, we started in a tent.

I remember when my parents bought our first pop-up. It was UH-may-Zing! Looking back on it, it was SO tiny and in all reality was barely better than our tent! LOL My brother and I were so excited. We had a BED. There was a stove and an ice box, oh yea, we were awesome. We would travel all over stopping in 2 and sometimes 3 different states along the way.

Memories. I have so many of them. Now, if you really know my family, you also know that each of these 'memories' are also filled with "the Parker luck," as it has since been named. I promise I am going to write a book about our best worst vacations. We would venture out to the great beyond, and low and behold SOMETHING would go wrong. Skunks, no electricity, diarrhea, spiders, drowning in the Yellowstone River, can't decide on a spot, sausage and cheese at 4 am, Godzilla in the back seat with you...I will save these for another day. We really have had the best worst  vacations, I think we deserve an award. In the end, those memories (besides making me rich from a best selling book) are so dear to my heart and I wouldn't trade them for the world. We now, while sitting in my parents fifth wheel, love to talk about all the bad luck we had...and it usually ends in tears from the laughter it brings.
When I met Jeremy, he had never really been camping before. I was so pleased to find out that he loved it though. We quickly bought a tent and even spent our first anniversary (14 days) camping in Colorado. We love meeting up with my family on memorial day...or any day for that matter. When we found out we were pregnant with Natalee, we could not wait to start our own memories, hopefully without the 'Parker luck,' with her. She went on her first camping trip at five months old. Tent; check...playpen; check...a million other baby things; check. We had a blast. Since then, we've been camping lots of times, not near as much as we'd like (stinkin' jobs!), and have enjoyed it every time.

Ok, enough with the blah blah blah. We bought a camper!! We are SO excited! Here's the scoop; Since having the boys, we realized we immediately outgrew our tent. The thought of not being able to go camping was killing me! We have been looking on and off for about a year now on craigslist, trying to snag up a great deal on a used pop-up. While feeding the babies at 2:30 am, I decided to look again. Sure enough, before my eyes, a beautiful 1988 pop-up camper for sale...AND in our price range! I quickly told Jeremy about it, and we decided to call the next morning and see if we could go and look at it. When we called, the owner thought he had it sold. The other people were coming to look at it at one, but he told us to feel free to call back around that time, in case they decided against it. My heart was broken...laying in pieces on the floor. 12:30 came, 12:45, 1:00....ok Jeremy, CALL!! He called to hear the man say that they never showed up and that if we wanted to come and look to come on out! You didn't have to tell us twice!
We pulled into their drive way, and I was so excited. It has a heater and an air conditioner (most of the others I had seen on CL did not have an AC). It had a luggage rack, perfect for luggage (duh) or bikes later down the road. The canopy was in really good condition, especially considering it is 24 years old! The interior, well, it is from the 80's, but I am always up for a good decorating challenge. It also has a toilet and shower! Can you say "potty training days made easier/rinse off all the nasty mud before crawling into bed off those stinky children?" I thought you could. SOLD! I am so excited to continue the legacy of camping with our children. Not only that, but I am excited because I know we can now afford to go on vacation this year! LOL Camping is SO much cheaper than a hotel stay! Anyway, ignore what the inside looks like, it will be completely transformed...and I will make sure to share pictures along the way. :)
So there you have it folks. Our glorious 24 year old treasure. I can't wait to make our own best worst vacation memories.

2 Months

Well, we have survived another month at the Glover household! LOL Surviving is the best we can do on some days! The boys are growing and getting cuter every day. It is getting a lot easier too. One day at a time is the best we can do. :)
Here are their two month pictures that I took!
Man am I ever in love!

Aiden:
You are a very sweet boy, until you decide you need something! You can scream louder than any baby I have ever met! Your face turns red and you hit octaves that I think the opera would appreciate. You are very alert and love to look around. You are very strong, and love to "stand up" on your feet. You are a wiggle worm, constantly moving and changing positions. You can follow my voice. When you smile, it is with your whole mouth. You started cooing at seven weeks old. They are still few, but I love when I hear that sweet little noise. You love to swing and you love to be in the sling. You also love to be in the vibrating bouncer, looking at the toys! You are smiling more and more every day. You are still in newborn clothes and newborn diapers. You weighed 8 pounds at your two month check up...you've come a long way since your birth weight was 4.6! You love to eat, and get VERY mad when it's not RIGHT now! You are breast feeding well, and when you have formula, you eat 3 ounces. You eat every 3-3/12 hours during the day, and between 5-7 hours at night. Real tears are an instant thing for you now, although they don't run down your face yet. You love bath time. You kick your feet and look around. You don't like putting lotion on, but you will have to get used to that, because that is mommy's favorite part. We call you "A Man and Little Man." You are starting to control your head movements. If you are on your belly, you will push your head up and look around. You are nosey! You can scratch your face with the best of them, usually while singing opera. You now wear mittens at all times, although for a while, I had to put a small rubber band around it, just to keep it on. You are sweet, you are adorable, you are loved.

Barrett:
You are so laid back, it is ridiculous. You are VERY cuddly, which I love! Your cry sounds more pitiful and heart breaking. You are becoming more alert, but you would rather snuggle and sleep. You are still very strong, and WHEN you choose to lift your head up, you are more controlled at it than Aiden. You can follow my voice. When you smile, it's a crooked "out-of-the-side-of-your-mouth" smile. I seriously love it, like bad. You started cooing at seven weeks old. You seem to talk a little more than your brother. You love to be held and you curl up in a little ball. Sometimes we wonder if you really have a spine. You love to swing and be in the sling. You also love the floor mat and looking at all the toys. You are smiling more and more every day. You are still in newborn clothes and newborn diapers. You weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces at your two month check up...you've come a long way since your birth weight was 5.2! You love to eat, but usually you will wait your turn and eat second. Sometimes this makes you really mad, and you cry with REAL tears, but they don't run down your face yet. Breast feeding is going well, and when you have formula, you eat 3 ounces. You eat every 3-3/12 hours during the day, and between 5-7 hours at night. You love bath time. You just sit there soaking in the tub, relaxing. You don't like putting lotion on, but you will have to get used to that, because this is mommy's favorite part. We call you "Bear Boy and Baby Bear." You are starting to control your head movements. If you are on your belly, you will push your head up and look around. You are sweet, you are adorable, you are loved.

Natalee:
You are adjusting to life with newborn brothers. You talk NON-stop, typical girl I guess. You love to help with anything that I will let you do. You are obsessed with touching their heads. You love to hold them. You are having a hard time learning patience, especially when mommy is having to feed Aiden and Barrett. You love attention. You love dressing up in your "angel dress." You are in love with anything princess. You love to play outside and especially with chalk. You love to color. You can clean your room, and put everything in its right place. You want to know "Who bought this for me?" and ask that question about EVERYTHING. You hate jeans...like for real...won't put them on. You want a dress every day and leggings to keep you warm. You are bossy. You know exactly what you want and aren't afraid to tell anyone. You love Jesus. You love to sing, and do it all the time! Right now the question of the day is, "Does Santa bring _______?" I think Christmas this year will be the most fun yet. You love to have your hair in "princess braids." You are the cutest girl I know. You are SO smart, too smart! You love to help mommy cook and you love making goodies to give to friends. You have to be reminded to "turn on your listening ears" quite a bit. You hate going to time-out, so we don't have to do that often. You can use your fingers and show the right number, through the number five. You can recognize the majority of your letters. You can spell your name. You always say, "A is for Aiden and B is for Barrett!" You are sweet, you are adorable, you are loved.

Mommy:
I am getting really good at multi-tasking, usually with a baby on the breast. Sometimes it feels like all I do in a day is feed a kid! LOL Nights are getting a lot easier, although there are still many times I wake up dragging my feet. Routine is key. We are on a pretty good schedule. I hate when you both get hungry at the same time, that is the most stressful of times. Lunch time is usually a crazy rush, and there have been many times that I am eating for the first time at two in the afternoon. I am getting back into embroidering and about to start up photographing again. We will see just how crazy I am by the end of all of this. LOL You are taking great naps, all three of the children sleeping at the same time is a must! I bought new clothes, I am one size smaller than when I got pregnant. I bought some really cute boots, my first pair of skinny jeans and scarves. I know, I am super hip. My free time is usually spent being exhausted, but I love it. I have been a stay at home mom for a year now on October first, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I got my hair chopped off, I was really tired of constant throw up in it! LOL Natalee is becoming a better help. I love that she like to help me cook, and does almost every day. Pinterest and craigslist are things I stalk while breastfeeding at all hours of the night. Speaking of pinterest, I love all their recipes and am becoming more excited about cooking. I also started doing freezer meals (cooking all day Monday) and wow, what a help! I am hanging in there and feeling pretty good. I love being a mom. :)
